LEARNING OUTCOMES:
COURSE OVERVIEW & CONTENT:
"A supervisor's job is to create an environment where everyone feels valued, appreciated and capable of reaching their full potential."
Making the move to a supervisory role can be demanding and somewhat daunting. For most people, the required skills for supervising others do not come naturally which means they need to learn and apply this new skill systematically.
This workshop is for people who are new supervisors or who are interested in a supervisory position, as well as those who are team leads or part-time supervisors without a great deal of authority.
This two-day course is designed to help participants gain confidence in supervising others by knowing what areas they need to consider when leading people and to overcome many of the supervisory problems that they will encounter as a workplace leader. Through various case studies, examples and scenarios, participants learn what works and what does not when managing people.
Dealing with the problems that a new supervisor encounters isn’t easy, but it doesn’t have to lead to discouragement.
