OVEVIEW

The courses implemented by most of the universities and colleges do not meet the needs of the current industries exactly. This forms a gap between the available interpersonal skills and the required ones for the new comers. Therefore, this training modular programme is intended to bridge the gap and align the trainees to meet potential employer’s expectations. Furthermore, the programme is required to direct the trainees and help them utilize the Core-Training Programme and get the most of it in order for them to exhale in any position. It also aims to help them visualize their future career path and motivate them to plan for it.

  • The modules will be delivered in a very interactive, experiential way with appropriate visual aids, activities and videos.

The Graduate Trainees’ Personal Development Programmes at SMART Management Training & Consultancy are development acceleration programme for fresh university graduates & interns.

The trainee can participate in an intensive development programme designed to sharpen their soft skills and prepare them to become a globally competitive employee.

1. CREATING A DYNAMITE JOB PORTFOLIO – 1 DAY

The job market continues to change, as does the way we look for work. This course examines the value of presenting yourself as a complete package by using a resume as an introduction to an employer and backing it up with a portfolio presented at the interview.

 

Course Objectives

By the end of this programme, the participants will be able to:

  • Speak about themselves using descriptive language
  • Apply the essential elements of cover letters and resumes
  • Understand the need for pre-employment testing and what to expect in their target market
  • Design a personalized portfolio
  • Develop a plan that moves them to a new job

 

2. MASTERING THE INTERVIEW – 1 DAY

The interview is one of the key elements of the job search process. As with any skill, we can get better at it with preparation and practice. In this workshop, participants will explore how to prepare for an interview and become familiar with the types of questions to expect, as well as the questions they should think about asking. They will learn how to prepare for second interviews, testing, and shadowing, as well as how to follow up on their interview sessions.

 

Course Objectives

By the end of this programme, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the different types of interview questions and how to prepare to answer them
  • Apply the most effective ways to prepare for an interview, including how to present themselves professionally
  • Express themselves effectively
  • Know how to ask for feedback following an interview

 

3. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT & TEAM SKILLS – 1 DAY

The Personal Development & Team Skills section will give the trainees a thorough induction into the many different activities of any organization and advance their personal development. Over a period of 2 days, they will be provided with a firm grounding in professional, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, & Confidents and being team members.

This section covers strategies and techniques to help the trainees to become effective and valued members of their teams in a workplace. Specifically, they will explore ways for adopting a positive approach to being on a team at workplace, like recognizing the benefits of working on a team and learning to tolerate team member differences.

 

Course Objectives

By the end of this programme, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand what it means to be self-confident
  • Develop techniques to confidently express opinions & needs
  • Learn how to communicate effectively and ensure the proper use of words, tone and body language
  • Recognise different behavioural styles, as well as their own, and use this knowledge to effectively communicate with colleagues and team members
  • Recognise appropriate and inappropriate organizational behaviour to build better working relationships with colleagues
  • Appreciate the importance of being assertive at  work and use appropriate assertiveness techniques when faced with difficult situations
  • The ability to use the power of thought to influence positivity in your work environment
  • Understand what it takes to be an effective team member and appreciate collaboration within teams and organizations
